The Chicago River and Lake Shore have to one of my favorite places in Chicago. One day, I decided I needed a break from working and decided to wander around. Even though it was freezing out, somehow it was still a beautiful day. After about an hour or so of walking up the Lake Shore, I began to follow along the Chicago River. The view that I saw next was breath taking. I had to capture a video of it.

So a few days ago, as most of you are aware, Chicago and most of the Midwest got pounded with snow. It was unbelievable watching it from our third floor apartment. We even had, what some people are calling, Thundersnow!

It was incredible. This was actually the first blizzard that I had every lived through. Some are saying that this was the biggest storm to come through this area in years. I’ll let you be the judge.

This is just a short video I took of the first snow this winter in Chicago. It still amazes me that in one night, the sky can produce so much snow. If you live in Chicago, you know this was just the beginning.

I have had the pleasure of checking out the Chicago Skyline from a couple different perspectives, and this has to be one of my favorites. I just wanted to make a short video to show the skyline and to also show a little perspective of how The Signature Lounge is on top of the John Hancock Center. And besides, you can drink beer as you stare into the horizon. What could be better?

Last month, Brandon and I went and saw our good friend Jake, who is the front man for August Burns Red, play at the House of Blues here in Chicago. At the end of their set, ABR’s drummer, Matt Greiner, busted out an awesome solo. This is a video of that solo.

So for Brandon’s birthday, we went and watched a Halloween Parade in Boystown. It was really awesome. There were some really awesome costumes. Towards the end of the parade there were a bunch of fire dancers. I was able to take a short video of the fire dancers. I hope you enjoy!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

So for my Birthday (October 8th), Brandon, Jessie, Mike, and I went and celebrated at Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, WI. It was awesome. I have now been to Lakefront twice now, and both times were great. I would suggest it to anyone who loves beer and loves having a good time. The tour is only like $6 and the food that we ate after, was actually very good. You can check out Lakefront Brewery’s website here.

So the other day, Brandon and I were hanging out on our balcony, drinking a beer, and relaxing as usual when we noticed something bizarre happening. So I grabbed my iPhone and began recording. This was so crazy! I have never seen birds act in this manner. Have you?

So the other day, Brandon and I were hanging out with our awesome friend Jessie who has an awesome view of the city from her apartment. So while Brandon and I were hanging out on the balcony, enjoying the view, I decided to take a video.

As you can see the Sears Tower (or now known as the Willis Tower) has pink antennas. This is because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So you heard right, BOOOOOOOOO Cancer!

Last week my friend Christine came to visit. This was her first time ever visiting Chicago. So last week, we went around and did a lot of tourist things. One of those days, we went and hung out in Chinatown. Christine is no stranger to East Asian cultures and wants to visit every Chinatown in the United States. So, we had to go and check out Chicago’s Chinatown so that she could check it off of her list.
